Clay for texture
Short to medium hair that should look like you did nothing. Clay adds grip and grit with no shine. Work it into dry hair and rough it up with your fingers.
Pomade for polish
Side parts, slick backs and anything with a comb line. A water based pomade gives shine and hold, and washes out without a fight.
Nothing for the brave
A good cut should sit well on its own. If yours needs product to look right, it might be time for a different cut, not a different jar.
