The case for the hot towel shave

Forty minutes, two towels and a razor that has been honed that morning. Why the slowest service on our menu is the one people rebook first.

Nobody needs a hot towel shave. That is exactly the point. It is forty minutes where your phone is face down and the only decision is whether you want the cold towel at the end.

Heat does the heavy lifting

Two hot towels soften the beard and open the skin. By the time the blade comes out, the hair gives up without a fight. That is why a straight razor shave feels closer and gentler than anything at home.

Two passes, never three

We shave with the grain first, then across. Going against the grain is how bumps and redness happen, and it is never worth it for an extra hour of smoothness.

The finish matters

A cold towel closes the skin, then a splash of our Aftershave Tonic calms it down. Most regulars book every three weeks. Some just book when life gets loud.
